Veterans & Families Open House

  • 11/25/2023
  • 2:00 PM - 4:00 PM
  • 16 High Street Sharon, MA 02067

We are inviting you and all residents to an open house display honoring military service. This includes all who are or have had served or had a connection personally, or by family with the Town of Sharon.

We have a speaker, our own, Colonel (ret.) Joe Blansfield who will give a presentation regarding "A Year in Iraq with a Combat Service Support Hospital". Colonel Blansfield retired after a career of service with the United States Army and also served as key staff at Boston Medical Center. He is well know among local paramedics and EMT's due to his instruction on how to treat trauma patients. He has since provided consulting to a local hospital supporting their efforts to update their trauma treatment capabilities.

At the museum, we have incorporated an additional display representing items from local past and present members and residents. Any additional items that you may wish to share on the day of the event would be welcomed. Items may include, uniform pieces, shadow boxes, field gear, photos, etc....  We would love to have you participate.

With or without an item for display, your presence is important to us. Please share this message.

Any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us.sharonhistorical@gmail.com or 781-784-9966
